Evelyn Minkoff Weisman nee Stone, 89; loving mother of Sheila (the late Andy) Mecall and Heide Arndt; loving Grandma of Jennifer Mecall (Tim) Ballou of Colorado; adoring GG of Alisen and Chelsea Ballou; cherished Nana of Katie and Kyle Arndt. Former wife of the late Arthur Weisman; unforgetting wife of the late Private Leo Minkoff, killed in the Battle of the Bulge on 1-13-1945. Beloved daughter of the late Bertha Kleiman Stone Callif (the late Phillip Callif) Jacob Stone; sister of the late Sam (the late Mollie), Faye and Private 1st Class Hyman Stone, killed in a plane crash on 10-8-1946 enroute from Yokohama, Japan to San Francisco, CA. Dear aunt of Jerry (Beth) Stone of FL and Artie (the late Hinda) of MO; cousin of Ann Kleiman (Larry) Kruss of OR and many other nieces, nephews and cousins. Friend and family of Sandra (Ron) Shechter, Larry (Cheryl) and Milton (the late Sara) Florence and Kiki, Bruce and Ashley Wittert. Evelyn was a loving, caring, sincere, wise, kind woman with a wonderful sense of humor until the very end. “You are now out of years of pain.” Private services were held at Shalom Memorial Park.
